Our Vision

Vision

To drive the STEM dialogue and activities focusing on the girl child in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Although our main target will be the girl-child, we acknowledge that we need to engage the boy child to support our vision as well to increase our diversity. Therefore for every three girls in our program, we will welcome one boy.

Our vision aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)  with our focus being to:

Ensure Inclusive and equitable quality education

This will be at the core of all initiatives we undertake. Through target communication and projects, we will focus on breaking stereotypes surrounding women in STEM and strategically working towards bridging the gap in the industry and academia. Through our mentoring and exposure to a combination of life skills and competencies, we hope to equip our Mentees with the tools they need to be successful students and conscious global citizen.

As part of our efforts to close the gap in education for female children,  we will encourage  enrollment in higher education technical, engineering and scientific programmers, in developed and developing countries.  Based on academic profiles designed by our academic board, we will connect students with various opportunities to expand on their STEM and academic development.

To protect, restore and promote ecosystems and sustainably managing forests

By collaborating with other organizations, we will promote eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyles. Advocate for reforestation and a more earth conscious way of life.

Through strategic partnerships, Zaidi  will support and participate in initiatives geared towards sustainable management of all types of forests. We will encouraging our mentees to participate in community activities  geared towards halting deforestation, restoring degraded forests and substantially increasing afforestation and reforestation globally through local initiatives.

MEASURES

We will assess our progress by how our initiatives foster innovation as well as the extent to which we influence and empower the girl child. We will use both social and economic benchmarks to gauge our success.
